The Homeland Security Academy at Zinman College, Wingate Institute in Israel, was established in 2007 as a joint enterprise of the College at Wingate Institute and Axiom Security & Management LTD, run by a former Israeli Security Agency (ISA) senior officer.
The Homeland Security Academy offers the most up-to-date knowledge and most advanced learning methods to endow its graduates with the tools required for coordinating staff work and managing and overseeing security layout.
Skillfully managed and implemented security is adapted to the nature, characteristics and the needs of the enterprise being protected. It also ensures efficient utilization of resources and budgets while blending in optimally in the activities of the organization. The planning, setting up and ongoing management of a security system require extensive professional and management knowledge.
The goal of an effective security layout is first and foremost to prevent and foil attempted attacks instigated by hostile elements. The implementation of a well-thought out, tailored and professional security plan will transmit a reassuring message of control and responsibility to the employees, visitors and the public at large. At the same time, skilled well trained manpower will transmit a firm message of preparedness that will deter the adversary from perpetrating attacks.
The Homeland Security Academy trains security managers, security officers, guards and functionaries, in the public and private sectors to carry out their responsibilities in routine times of daily operations and in emergencies.
In addition, the Academy trains public bodies, companies and organizations to deal with extreme emergency situations resulting from natural or man-instigated disasters.
